The G40D uses hot glue to adhere pages to
your pre-made cover that will wrap completely around the
book (front, back and spine) creating a perfect paperback or
hardback book bind. The Perfect G40D binder first scores the
spine edge of your pages with a Paper Edge Roughener (P.E.R.)
for deep glue penetration. It then applies a layer of hot glue, then wraps the cover around the book pages
for a perfect book bind every time. The G40D book binder also has an
automatic temperature controller that takes the guess work
out of temperature settings. The Perfect G40D comes with everything you need to
get started including hard cover tool, soft cover tool, extra glue and
owners manual. Also included is the Perfect G40D tool kit and two extra
fuses.
There are many ways to bind books including plastic comb,
metal coils, tape and ring, but the most popular and
professional way perfect binding. In the past, perfect
binding was extremely difficult and expensive ... anyone
wanting to use this method would need to purchase an
expensive machine and get special training. Due to these
restrictions only large binderies or publishers used perfect
binding. Now with the G40D perfect
binding machine, it's affordable and easy to do.
Easy to Follow
- 5 Step Process
Step 1
Pull clamp open with clamp handle. Place cover then pages and close clamp.
Step 2
Roughen paper edge by pushing roughener, left then
right. Repeat if necessary.
Step 3
Apply glue by pushing glue applicator left then
right (twice for thick books).
Step 4
With hard or soft cover bar in place, pull down on main handle
and hold for 5-10 seconds.
Step 5
Return main handle to original position. Open clamp and remove book.
